Enabling GoToMyPC with McAfee Anti-virus Software
If your computer is protected by McAfee and you are experiencing connection issues then your firewall may be preventing a connection. To safely configure your firewall please locate your version of McAfee below and follow the instructions.
If after following these instructions you still have firewall related issues, then McAfee Support may be able to provide assistance.
McAfee Firewalls
McAfee Total Protection
- Right-click the McAfee Total Protection icon in your system tray (usually the bottom right of your screen.)
- Click Settings. (b)
- Scroll down until you see GoToMyPC(c), select it and then click Edit. (d)
- Click Save. (f)
McAfee Security Center
- Right-click the McAfee Security Center icon in your system tray (normally the bottom right of your screen).
- Click Configure. (b)
- Click Advanced. (c)
- Click Apply. (g)
McAfee Total Protection Service
- Right-click the McAfee Total Protection Service icon in your system tray (normally the bottom right of your screen) and click Open Console.
- Click Action Menu and then select View Application List (a) from the drop-down menu.
- Locate GoToMyPC Communications in the list of programs, click the adjacent box (b) to select it and, then click Approve. (c)
