Install updates manually on Windows and Mac
Manually update GoToMyPC to the latest version and build.
- Right-click GoToMyPC
in the system tray of the host computer and select Check for Updates... On Windows, you will find the system tray at the bottom of your screen; on macOS, you will find the system tray at the top of your screen.
Note: On macOS, you can simply select on the GoToMyPC icon. - If it is possible to update, select Yes in the New Version Available – GoToMyPC pop up window.
Result: GoToMyPC starts to download its latest version.
- You will see a notification in your system tray on completion of the update. If a restart is required, the notification will inform you to restart your computer to complete the installation process.
Note: If you have the latest version of GoToMyPC, you see the GoToMyPC is up to date. – No updates are available now. message.
What to do next: If you aren't able to update
GoToMyPC using the above steps, and you continue to see the update notification message at
My Computers, do the following:
- Uninstall GoToMyPC from your host computer.
- Download and install the latest version.
