What to do if the Printer Setup Wizard prompts you to plug in your printer

You can find an easy-to-follow solution to finish the installation of your printer driver even if it is not possible to plug in the printer.

Before you begin:

While you install your client computer's printer driver on your host computer, you may be prompted to plug in the printer. Since this isn't possible, do not select Cancel. Instead, leave the screen open on your computer and take the following steps:

  1. Select the GoToMyPC icon in the host computer's system tray.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select the Printing tab.
  4. Select Add Printer.
  5. In the Add Printer Wizard, locate your printer from the printer list and finish the installation of the printer driver.

Results: The printer driver on your host computer is installed.
